Explorers Roundtable
Dear Explorers and Friends:

The long hot summer appears to have lingered, but as Fall draws near we are gearing up for another season of New England Chapter Explorers Club events. Please join us for our first gathering to be held on Tuesday, October 22nd. Based on the last season's rousing success, we have decided to open with a resurrection of our Explorers Round Table, a grand opportunity to share perspectives on exploration, lessons learned, and tales from afield with fellow Chapter members and friends.

Upon returning from their expeditions, members of The Explorers Club traditionally sat down at a table and regaled each other with stories of their adventures. The New England Chapter has revived this time-honored custom in past years, and on October 22 we will have a roundtable where we will talk in a quite informal way about where we've gone and what we've done in recent months. This is an egalitarian event: anyone who has been on an expedition, even if that expedition took place only in a laboratory or in their own backyard, is free to speak

In a departure from our usual setting at the Union Club, this event will be held at ALMA, The Armenian Library and Museum of America, courtesy of yours truly as the museum's Executive Director.

Yours very truly,

Mark Allio, Program Chairman
