The New England
Chapter of
The Explorers Club
"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all"

Our Annual Explorers' Roundtable will take place on Tuesday, December 15, 2009
Dear New England Chapter of the Explorers Club, members, friends, and guests:

You and your guests are invited to come to our New England Chapter EXPLORERS ROUNDTABLE/MEMBERS' PRESENTATIONS NIGHT, which will be held on Tuesday evening, December 15th 2009, at the Double Tree Guest Suites Hotel.

During the event any explorer or adventurous guest among us will have the opportunity to present something of our work and/or long-term interest or research in exploration. One may give a verbal presentation, without any slides/power-point, such as we typically do at our annual Explorers Roundtable; or one may bring a CD/power-point with up to 10 images to illustrate one's presentation.

The amount of time that each of the presenters gets will depend upon the number of participants, but it is anticipated that each presenter will get at least 10 minutes, and maybe 15. (There will be no minimum: if one only wants to speak for a couple or a few minutes, that is also fine, as it is if one wants to just come and listen).

Subject matter can be anything within exploration that you really find interesting, such as (but not limited to) the following:

*Your most recent field exploration project;

*A significant finding or realization during a past exploration project;

*A currently in-process-of-being-put-together field research project for the coming year;

*A particularly puzzling question concerning exploration or the history of exploration that you would like to present to our group;

*Issues specific to The Explorers Club and our feelings and perceptions regarding its direction and exploration...

This will be our last event for the year; it will be held at the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel; and in the Holiday Spirit, there will be no charge for participants, attendees, and guests.

Thank you very much.
I look forward to seeing you at the Doubletree!

Yours in exploration,

Greg
