CHAPTER INFORMATION
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, even though chequered by failure,
than to dwell in that perpetual twilight that knows not victory nor defeat".

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The New England Chapter of The Explorers Club is fully dedicated to field exploration, and especially supports ventures into the world's most hostile or inaccessible environments. Chapter members have expertise in a variety of areas, including Arctic exploration, tropical rainforests, biology, mountaineering, archaeology, navigation, anthropology, botany, the environmental sciences, and oceanic exploration.

Each year the Chapter hosts a number of presentations where both members and nonmembers speak about their discoveries. These events are an excellent forum for like-minded individuals to exchange lore, theories, tips, and yarns related to exploration. Everyone -- including armchair explorers -- is welcome to attend these events, which are held at the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel in Boston.

For further information about our Chapter, its events, possible membership in The Explorers Club, or indeed questions about the expeditionary life, please contact one of our officers listed below....
